Kids.
Church.
Fun.
Kids are not simply the future of the church, they are the present church! Here at Osprey First Baptist, we love and appreciate our kids! Every Sunday we are intentional about how we minister to families with children and we seek to involve them in ministry as much as possible, such as letting kids sing regularly, having special family activities, and encouraging them to show Jesus’ love by serving others in their schools, families, and communities.
The safety of your children is a top priority in our ministry. As such, background screenings are completed on all children’s ministry volunteers. In addition, our workers have been trained in their specific ministry roles.
Our ministry to children is always age-appropriate and carefully planned to bring your child closer to Christ, helping them learn basic truths to serve as a foundation for a lifetime of faith in Christ.
When do kids meet together?
During our Sunday school class time (9:00-9:45 a.m.), we have two classes for children: one for newborn through kindergarten and one for elementary students.
During our worship service (10:00 a.m.), we provide nursery for the entirety of our service for newborns to Pre-K. We ask our school-aged children to begin in the auditorium with their parents and families. Following the music portion of the service (before the preaching), children up to 5th grade will be dismissed with their leaders to KidZone, a fun time of learning featuring a mix of music, crafts, and relevant teaching.
While you grow and study God’s Word with adults, your child will be cared for in a warm and welcoming environment by loving teachers and volunteers.
